The Physical Side Of Life

Author: D-Rant Master

Everyday I wait for the call, I went and did the "re-test" of the physical portion of the first screening process. They just wanted to know I haven't stopped training since I got into this whole thing. I guess that's a big problem they have then people aren't ready for the physical demands of the Academy when it comes time to start. Well Ha little did they know I had been training the whole time. Never stopping always moving forward.

The test went well compared to my last time though the gauntlet

Last time the stats where:
1.5 miles in 9 min 50 sec
42 sit-up's in a min
52 push-up's
Jump a 6' wall and sprint 25yds in 7.19 seconds

This time it went a little something like
1.5 miles in 9 min 25 sec
52 sit-up's in a min
55 push-up's
Jump a 6' wall and sprint 25yds in 6.9 seconds

So it was better... Not huge but better still.

Now I've went into a different style of training all together I decided to take up a plan I found for running a 10k race...
Nike offers a sight that you can use to track progress in running it take a few minutes to set up and then you have the ability to set out a training path for you depending on your goals. I told it I'm a novice runner that wants to average a 6-ish minute mile during a 10k it said 12 weeks should get me there. Yes a 6 minute mile is a vary fast pace for a 6 mile run but that's where I used to be.. It's where I need to be to feel I've done all I can for myself.
If it works I'll let you know if not I still know that I can run 6 miles at one time... I think I may have done that once when I was 19. I was always big on short distance really fast rather than a slower steady long races.

Party Side Of Life (what D Rant has a party side)
O' yes there was parting to be done and I did it .. and well.
C__'s B day came and went last week so there had to be a party of some sort. The whole luau idea went out the freaken window when she said she really didn't want that anymore.. So I took back the stuff I had gotten and we used the dough to have a great night on the town.. We started the night at our house with P-Riddy R__ and the Neighbors we all loaded up in the neighbors new lifted F-350 quad cab (It's like going down the street in a tank). All six of us fit right in no problem it was great that meant only one poor fool had to be the DD.
