O Happy Day

Home again and back to the daily grind... Except...
I got my final offer from the PD today! Holy crap I can't believe they want me to work of them.. I'll have a gun... scary thought. Just kiddin. But really, I put in my Two weeks the minute after I got off the phone with the Department. I'll be starting on the 6th of next month, doing little stuff around the department until my Academy start date (July 18th).

We went to OK to have C__'s grandpas’ services and it went well, it was vary nice and big really big. There must have been 200 people strong at this thing. We stayed though Saturday instead of Wednesday like previously planned, It was much needed and C__ would have only been back to work for two days so I said F_uck it lest just stay as long as we can.
I always love going there it's nothing except wheat until the horizon in three directions, everyone waves at you as you drive by, and if your there you're family. So I did what any strapping young boy would do in my situation.. I turned into a farmer for four days, it's a way to become a kid again. It's justification to get covered in dirt, grease, and ride around in big trucks and big tractors. You know all the things us "city folk" don't do on a daily basis. That and C__'s dad really like the help and motivation he got while I was there with him. He got to teach me things and I wanted to learn from him while I was there.
But alas it was time, time to make that drive back to the hells kitchen we call home (AKA Arizona). I never want to come back when we're there, everything's slower and more friendly. But I can't live without the modern day electronics and huge grocery stores I've become so accustom to. That and C__ promised her Grandma she would never move back.. no mater what.
I think we'll try to go back this Christmas, C__'s dad said he hasn’t had one with C__ since she was 5 or 4. Her beast of a mom would never let her go. So here's hoping that we can make good things happen with that.

In other news I'm to poor to pay attention right now but all that should change rather fast since I'll be getting my normal pay check plus 90 hours of vacation on to of it *Sweet* I love that.. it'll be like a months worth of pay in only two weeks not to mention the holiday pay I'll be making on Monday while I work for time and a half. Aaahhh that somehow makes me feel all better and warm inside.

Other than that... nadda. But I will tell you this.. when the PD thing starts up be ready for some posts I'll keep you guys in the loop all the way.
