Anyone want a Kidney?
Tires suck...
While on her way to work yesterday morning C__ in her wonderful driving splendor was able to once again pick up a nail in her front tire. This sucks for a few reasons
First,
My darling wiffie seems to land more random items in her tires than there are tapes of Paris Hilton. One time she was able to run over and puncture her tire with a pair of pliers... How she did it I will never know, so she had the spare on, managed to put a nail in that and shred it on the free way.. just to name the last few.
Second,
The tire I knew wouldn't be able to be patched not only because of the nail location but also the thing had and impression of where treed used to go but was no longer there..
So that meant two new fronts and a new spare too.
F-150 tires $90.00 plus mounting, balancing, valve stems, balh, blah, blah.
So I was looking at a bill of at least 113.00 a tire or so.
So I call and make sure they have the one I need in stock, of course not, but the guy says he'll be getting in a shipment of 4 later that day I say ok and make a 3 o' clock appointment to have them put on.
Of course when I get there what do they tell me but.. O' sorry we don't have those ones sorry there was a miscommunication. So I took the situation for all I could.. First I acted upset, then confused, then bam it happened he said those magic words. "What can we do to fix this Sr.? Wait I have an idea."
He does some computer mojo jo jo and then out of nowhere I'm getting all five tires for $346.00 out the door. That's right I got 5 ($450.00 worth) tires instead of three. The guy bought my old tires off of me and then comped me all the installation cr@p. So that was a vary positive part of the day for my standpoint. The not so positive part was the fact that it took almost two hours to get the new ones put on, and I had an appointment already.
Now that money that we didn't have already.. yeah we have even less of it now, and we still had a $400+ check due to C__'s school in like a month and a half. So if anyone out there wants a Kidney.. I got two, and am pretty sure I only need one to keep going.
C__'s Schooling,
Just to lay it out there C__'s 21 and just started going back to school this year. She played the "burned out" card after high school ended.
She's going back for her Bachelors in Business Management.
So she has at least 3 years left to go, back in high school she was in all the honors or accelerated classes. So she can and will test out of quite a few credits worth of those lower classes that most have to take their first two years present company included.
She has class on Tuesdays and meets with a group once a week for about three hours of so to discuses home work and other stuff usually at Applebee's... humm that doesn't sound to me like a place to conduct a learning session, but the beers cheep so I wont complain..
Well all it's time to get back to "work" so I'll see ya tomorrow.
